Crotch Lake Fishing

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Crotch Lake Fishing

Post by captian cotton »

I recently planned a bachelor Party for a friend of mine. He insisted we do a fishing weekend and keep it somewhat close to Kingston. We finally decided on Crotch lake north of Kingston, near Ompah and we chose Tumblehome lodge for our accommodations. This turned out to be a great trip and the walleye fishing was fairly good for the area. We got several walleye every trip on the water and the some good bass as well.

Gotta say, the accommodations at Tumblehome are amazing for the price point and the staff are great (thanks Ward).

Pictures and a full report are provided below:

Nice report. Looks like you guys had a riot. Nothing like a morning fish all hung over. Cheers

Excellent report.
I had heard that Crotch was a difficult place to catch walleye, but your story seems to put an end to that rumour.
Thanks,

Great post and story. I have been going up to crotch at least once a year for the past 5 years. It has to be one of the most beautiful lakes around here and we always get the same boat in site which gives us privacy and peace. I have never caught alot of walleye up there...ever, I know of no one that has ever caught alot of eyes up there, your story is very typical. 1-2 fish per day per boat is a good day at crotch, frequently people get skunked or start trying for the Bass. I have always thought of it as a great camping lake, with some fish thrown in. Heading back again for the annual boys trip in Mid October, taking up the lard and fix mix with hopes and wishes :-)
