Long Island, below Locks

Is it just me or if the fishing down at the bottom of the Locks slow?

I've been down there 4 times this year and not as much as a nibble. I've tried various presentations but no signs of bass/pike/Musky/walleye.

I've talked to half dozen others while fishing there and they say the same.

Has anyone had any luck down there this season?

My son and I were there a week or so ago and only got a few nibbles, he had been there the week prior and also left the shore empty handed.
