Cheap Hard Baits?
Cheap Hard Baits?
Anyone out there have alny idea of a website that has lots and lots of lures or hardbaits for sale for cheap. Maybe even a fishing tackle liquidator?
Fish ON!
Re: Cheap Hard Baits?
It depends what you mean by cheap.
I was on tacklewarehouse putting a list together for what I want for Christmas and I saw crankbaits for $4.00-$18.00. I didn't look at the jerkbaits but I imagine they will be about the same. If you are looking for deals on hardbaits, most of the tackle shops around here have sale bins with cheap hard baits so I would check there.

There is cheap cheap tackle on ebay, shipped out of Quebec, free shipping.Looks like all imported stuff. Do a search for jigs and you will find him. He has all kinds of tackle for sale(including hard baits and lures). Can't comment on the quality though, but if cheap is what you are after this may be the spot to look

X2 but don't waste your money because your going to get what you pay for.TheMaverick wrote:Dollar Store!
I'd rather have one $20 lure than twenty $1 lures.
But it is your money.

Re: Cheap Hard Baits?
The northland jigs aren't bad at dollar store. 3 different colours. Picked up a few and they worked great on lakers. 2 one ounce jigs with swim bodies for a buck is not bad at all. Especially for 1 ounce jig heads that are shaped like a fish head compared to the usual round 1oz jig heads I Seem to only find everywhere else. Never tried the crank baits from the dollar store though, they look pretty cheap.
Re: Cheap Hard Baits?
I have used some dollar store top water poppers with surprising great success! They are a little on the light side but have worked great for me this far and there are two that have a regular spot in my box. This being said,I have had 1 break on me in the last few years. I've tried a few cranks with less success. They all needed to be tuned and still didn't run great. I'll continue to bye poppers though.
There's also eBay. I've had some good success with cheapies from there. Just pay good attention to the weights of the baits. Most are very light. Usually when I buy online cheapies I just swap out the trebles and away we go. I've found some good ones that end up costing less than $2 a shot including new hooks.

I was being sarcastically diverting...really? Dollar Store lures?
On a more serious note, Ed (Paddletales) has a bin full of quality cheap lures, plastics and what not.

Re: Cheap Hard Baits?
lol my dads favorite lure was a floating crank from the dollar store and it probably caught 100+ fish. Don't knock them till you try them boys. The worksmanship is usually bad but if it catches you even one fish its got to be worth a dolla
