Pointed in the right direction off of Hwy 15

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Pointed in the right direction off of Hwy 15

Post by mlaker »

I am heading to Kingston Monday (Feb. 10) for a conference, but it does not start till 3. I was travelling from Ottawa and thinking of going down Hwy 15 down through smith falls to Kingston. There seems to be a boat load of lakes in that section. I am new to ice fishing and gone a few times this year. Wondering if I can be directed to a lake not far off that hwy. I am hoping to get some fishing in before the conference. There are so many and I am not sure what is easy to get to or not. You do not need to give me your spot, just thought I would see if I can get pointed in the right direction.

We have had VERY significant snowfall here in K-town and our lakes have two to three feet of snow on them. So you would need a snowmobile or snowshoes to get just about anywhere right now. I know that Ottawa did not get as much snow, don't know about Smith's Falls etc.

Maybe somebody who fishes around Portland could chime in?
