My goal this winter was to catch a lake trout through the ice. It took a dozen trips and there was a bunch of anguish 3-4 weeks back when a good one snapped off in the hole but on Wednesday, mission accomplished.
And back she goes.....
The head shakes and drag peeling runs are quite the rush. There was about 30" of ice to drill through so there's probably a few more laker trips in the weeks to come.
P.S. - Those Bassassin guys take some good pics.....

what a beauty trout Beach.... i am headed on a mission tomorrow chasing the Lakers too hope my luck is a good as yours.
What depth were you fishing at? What were you using for a lure?

60 ft and if you look close enough, you can see what it hit.
