First Trip in The Boat 2014

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

First Trip in The Boat 2014

Post by Haulin Bass »

Finally got out in the boat to fish the long weekend. Friday was a really soggy one but the rest of the weekend was beautiful, almost too calm at times. The bites were far between but did manage to get a few

Beauty lakers HB...so Haulin Bass is hauling lakers...gotta love our past time when you can attack so many different species at one time. Gotta ask though..what was the water temp where you are and how deep were the lakers. I fished a favorite lake of mine about two weeks ago and wter temps were 53oC and they were hovering around 12-25 ft which was in the same range as the bows and they were not in season yet so we caught one and had to move on.
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.

Thanks for the comments
Almonte, the lake conditions were very similar to what you had except the water temp did not break 50 deg f until Sun pm and although the lake turns around 42 deg f, there sure was a lot of half decayed weeds and leaves on the water Mon am..
