Carp River in bad shape

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Carp River in bad shape

Post by TLunge »

Tried for some pike near Kinburn today and have never seen the river that bad with floating mats of what looked and smelled like manure and very muddy water with not even one inch visibility and very low water level. Has something bad happened to the Carp River?

Yes the extra rain etc we had this year rose the level higher than I have seen it in 10-15 years which in turn moved the water up to pasture areas etc. Just wait a few weeks for the water level to get to normal and then tell me about the smell!! lol.
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.
