solar panel battery chargers

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

solar panel battery chargers

Post by Hoser »

CT has them on sale for $30.00 Anybody out here have one that can tell us if they are worth the bux or not? It would be nice to not have to lug an 800 lb battery back to town to charge.

the one that CT has if its about 4x8 in it is good to keep a batery charged
but it is oly a trical charge. Aslow charg.it would take 24 to 30 hr to fully charge a batery that is almot dead .Half that time to charge semmy loeded baterys.

Hoser I have the smaller one that CT is selling (not the 5 Watt) and have it hooked up to my trolling motor battery. I find it works great. I don't use it to recharge my battery from empty but it works great for keeping the battery from running out of juice. I can fish all day with the trolling motor, and if it's sunny go home with 3/4 to a full battery if it's a sunny day. I've even noticed that sometimes the battery will dip down to 1/4 if I'm running it really hard for a while but won't die completely and usually ends up recharging most of the way. Definitely nice to have.
