I always liked fishing Callander Bay in the past, and was thinking of heading back up there again. I hate to always sound negative, but I'm hearing the big bay is in serious decline as far as the fishing goes. It's been a few years since I've been there; I always did well with bass and big pike in these waters, with some bonus wallys. Quite a few big lunge always showed up there as well, early and late in the season. I'm hoping the doomsday reports I'm hearing (especially for Walleye), are greatly exaggerated...
I guess there has been a bit of over development on the shores, and maybe too much harvesting of fish, so I wouldn't be shocked if there has been decline recently.
It seems to be contagious on alot of waters these days. I hope at least the gators have not hit the skids; nice ones like this used to show up quite often for me in years past
