I have mixed emotions on your announcement. One one side I will miss our chats and picking up just about anything I needed for a weekend fishing trip, and on the other side I will be happy for you to be able to have some time to your selves to enjoy life.

Like others have said, both happy for you and upset about the minnow situation.

Maybe you could let a store in Carleton Place know where you got your minnows from so us west enders won't be stuck with their usual stock? Lol.

I have mixed feelings on this deal. Gord and Marise certainly found their niche with the fishing community and they will be sorely missed for those looking for bait. That's the down side.

The up side is the freedom that comes with the change for them. I often talked to Gord about fishing and he just couldn't find much time to do so, maybe now he will!

It'll sure will be different getting minnows as good as yours so close to my area now that its coming to an end, but after all the hard work over the years, you deserve the time off to be able to spend more time with the family and more importantly go fishing ! Fall is coming up and its almost time before the big girls put on the feed bag! It's always been a pleasure stopping at your shop to shoot the crap for a bit before i got on the ice, your minnows have caught me some beasts this year!! Good luck with everything bud! I hope you hook some giants in the coming years

It was a great 10 years serving the local(and not so local) fishing community. The part I'll miss the most is the chit chat about fishing with my customers....really enjoyed that!
