Name the Fishing Clubs and Competitive series in Eastern Ont

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Name the Fishing Clubs and Competitive series in Eastern Ont

Post by Super »

HI,
RJ's post got me thinking about something I have wanted to do for a while.
Every year most of us have the goal to get out fishing more than the previous year but we often do not achieve that goal because life gets in the way.
The best way to get out fishing more is to have a fishing schedule on the calendar.
I have found that being a member of a Club is onet way to at least to commit to the Club fishing events and work more fishing around those dates.

I would like to put together a list of all the fishing Clubs in Eastern Ontario and then post this list on Fish-Hawk for you to more easily check into the Clubs and see if they offer what you want.

So if you know of a Club, competitive or more social please add it to the post or "pm" me if you are not sure of the specifics and I will check into them further and post the correct information.

Thank,
David

What about the Muskies Canada chapters in eastern Ontario and the OLSENA fishing club in Brockville (perhaps the oldest club in Ontario - if not Canada)? OLSENA is lake trout orientated, but friendships are made which leads to fishing for other species.

Yup! MCI and other Muskie Clubs will be added. Can't find any info on that OLSENA club online. They have a site?

David had the idea as well and I agree with him that if you knew when some things were scheduled you may hop in to them before it's too late.

Petawawa Bassmasters (https://www.facebook.com/petawawabassmasters/)

Other than Shootout Series, PBM hosts more open tournaments than any other organization in Eastern Ontario. There are 7 open tournaments this year, including a one-man and a 2-day tournament. Each open tournament usually has between 25 and 35 boats.

Valley Bass has an FB presence at https://www.facebook.com/groups/64191693812/.

I'm not sure what's going on with VB this year but it's historically been a closed club of 20-30 teams (much like BAA appears to be) and the tournament dates are set in conjunction with the Petawawa Bassmasters in order to not have any conflicts because many of us fish both PBM and VB.
