Lower Rideau Ice
Has anyone heard what the ice situation is like on the Rideau? I'm talking between Rideau Ferry and Smiths Falls. I really wanna pull on my fish sawks and get out there and get myself a bluegill or crappie snack!! Tasty, they are!!
I'm a goin' fishin', mama's goin' fishin' and my baby's goin fishin' too.

There was a little over 8" near the Yacht Club launch on Sunday afternoon when I went out.
There were a few permanent shacks out and some guy drove a sidekick type suv out on the ice.
I was out about 150 metres.

Solid 4-6 inches at Long Island locks, only Rideau spot I've tried out so far this winter

When I went back the next day he had pulled his portable farther out in the channel .. with his vehicle.
I stayed far away that day as well.
I will be headed out again this weekend.
