Muskrat Lake
Muskrat Lake
Trying to get up to Muskrat Lake near Cobden for the first time and looking for somewhere to start for fish. Apparently there is a lot of rock features in that area for smallmouth, just wondering what the rest of the lake is like for fishing.

I wouldn't let a tournament going on dictate where I fished.
There is lots of fish in Muskrat lake.
Key in on drop offs in 10 to 25 feet of water, drop shot or jig... Or just watch what the tournament guys do... If they pinch you off a spot, it's a good one:-)

Left side if typically the "weedy" side that house most of the Largemouth and Pike. Right side once ya hit mid lake is rocky and more suitable to Smallies. Great lake but give it a few days after any tournament there as it tends to knock the snot out of it for a week.
