Shoreline fishing in Ottawa Area

Shoreline fishing in Ottawa Area

Good Day Anglers,

I am wondering if anyone knows a couple of good spots to do some shoreline fishing in the area. Or perhaps a lake nearby that I could launch a canoe (ex Meech, Lac St. Germaine) or preferably something on this side of the river. Just looking to go for some Smallmouth with my daughter.

There are MANY threads on this site about exactly what you are asking. Search the site, read the threads.

If you have some specific questions people on the site are really good at helping out...

Rent a canoe and try Dows Lake (more largies though)

And smallies in and around the Billings Bridge. Cast into the current. I've found some decent ones in there. Best when the water is high.
