There were some people ice fishing my cottage lake it's a small lake with an inch of ice. The trout are biting they say. I wouldn't risk it though

For the area where there was ice and now coverd with that 10 inch of snow,,,not good,,,migth look nice BUT!!!!!
But those 2. -15 c will help in few area.

Hey guys, same here, gonna wait a bit. I did not enjoy getting wet a few years back when the ice was just starting. Learned my lesson not to screw around with that. It was an early end to a fishing day.. see you guys out there at some point in some new spots that found this summer.

Splake_Hunter you're a fool! The ice isn't safe yet and certainly won't be by the time the weekend comes. Everybody should stay home and refrain from fishing

This cold few days is the best thing that could have happen. For xmas,,ice fishing. Nice.
To bad for tomorow snow storm,,not to good but ey, good for snow sport peoples.
Seen reports now 5-7 inch good ice in some area, and this was mid day today,,
So yes it safe for SOME places,,but extra carefull

Lucky to get out again, got into a mess of pike yesterday. Hopefully the upcoming mild weather is short lived...
