This will be my first year ice fishing around here as I just moved to Westport area. I bought a place on he Upper Rideau and have fished it a little but now that hard water is here I am looking to head out ice fishing. I have noticed Wolfe Lake and would like to give a go but I don't know where to start. If anyone would like to offer any info that would be appreciated. If anyone is looking for a day partners pm me

Re: Wolfe Lake, Westport
My girlfriend's family has a cottage up there as well and I haven't had a chance to really fish it yet but it's supposed to be good for walleye and bass. I can ask around about ice fishing in the area but if you're looking for a day partner this summer I wouldn't mind going for a good day out on the water.
If your rod ain't bending you're just pretending.

You should already be acquainted with Roger and Connie Norris at Norris Bait and Tackle. If not, you should haul yourself down there and introduce yourself. You are not going to get "SECRETS" but you will get solid information from people who have lived and fished there for decades. They also have good live bait if you use it, they have a very good selection of good (locally useful) tackle, and they are not out to rip you off. Tell them Doug from Kingston sent you.

Hi Doug, I have been into Norris but only to purchase some bait. I was planning to stop in tomorrow, Friday, to get some live bait and ask a few questions. I am not looking for secrets but starting points would be nice this time of year. I live about 4 minutes away from them so they are very handy. My son and I are heading out tomorrow to Wolfe and it would be nice to know where to start fishing and them with any luck we can change to catching after zoning in.
Thanks
