ice fishing rentals in eastern Ontario?

Good morning everyone, i just joined FishHawk after reading many posts over the past couple of years...some great advice and now i am looking for some myself. I am looking to rent an ice fishing hut for a day in Eastern Ontario, preferably close to Smiths Falls region. Any suggestions as to who i can contact? I found a guy in Seeley's Bay and Springwood Cottages on Lake Kennebec off Hwy.7 but there must be more small operators out there between?

Hi legendfish welcome to Fish-hawk. I live near Smiths Falls and I have not really looked for ice hut rentals in the area, since I just go out myself, but I have never really heard of any in the Smiths Falls area, some on the Ottawa River, and a couple guys use to guide for ice fishing using portable huts, but not sure if anyone is doing that this year, so the ones you found could be the closest to Smiths Falls. If you have some basic ice fishing gear there are some easy access points in the area you could go out and try yourself, you might not catch a trophy, but usually some panfish around.

About a 90 minute drive from Smiths Falls, but there are a number of operators on Bay Of Quinte...Trenton, Belleville, Desoronto. Most are full service...transportation, heated huts, bait, and tackle supplied. Legitimate shots at 12lb + Walleyes, plus plenty of Perch.
Better hurry though...Walleye season ends March 1st on BOQ.

No one out that way that I know of. For what you'd spend on a rental pick up a Pop up shack and you'd be good for years to come.

Adam bought Loon Lodge on lake Temagami and moved all his bungalows out there so he's not operating on White Lake anymore. I follow him on FB and they've been catching some nice Lakers and Walleye lately now that restrictions have been lifted.

Yep I was talking to Adam the other day at the boat launch on Lake Temagami, he is all set up there and in full swing for a short season this winter.
