Lake Simcoe... last minute trip this weekend... anyone interested?

Hello,

I was planning a 2 day trip to Lake Simcoe, leaving from Merrickville area. this weekend fishing for whitefish on Saturday and perch on Sunday. Unfortunately my partner coming with me had to cancel.

I am still considering just making the trip to Simcoe for 1 day to fish whitefish this Saturday, either driving up Friday night and staying at hotel Friday night and then fishing Saturday and driving home. Or driving up in the middle of the night Friday night to arrive by 7 am Saturday.

If I decide to go, it is a hard trip to do, solo in 1 day, so if I still decide to go... I am looking for 1 partner to go.

We would be fishing with a local Lake Simcoe fisherman who knows the area well and using the Taiga Dog as on-ice transportation.

Been wanting to fish Simcoe for many yrs. Have never made it up there yet due to work, my son's sports, etc.......
Really wish I could join you on this one but headed out locally with a buddy. Good luck!!

Thanks for the messages, looking like this trip not working out, hoping to try and make it to Simcoe in a couple weeks.... to try my luck for some Simcoe whitefish and perch.

Looks like some local walleye and ling Saturday and maybe perch Sunday.
