Water temps - Rideau River
Water temps - Rideau River
Anyone been out on the Rideau and have water temps they can share? With the price of fuel these days, an answer to this question would save me like $40 lol.

Right now surface temps are all over the place. The west facing bay in front of my place hit 47f in the shallows today. The main basin is still 35f. The mouth of a small creek that drains a beaver pond in the back of the bay was 43f.
If you're looking for Crappie, I wouldn't hesitate to go this weekend.
Personally I'll be chasing Steelhead on the Trout opener tomorrow morning.

Thanks! Very helpful. I'll probably make it out next weekend - this weekend got busy as heck.

Yeah...still pretty chilly. Next weekend should have the panfish a little more active. It seems like we're a week to 10 days behind this spring compared to previous averages.
