I just found this forum and have been reading lots of posts. Lots of helpful information!
When I was young I went on several family vacations to the Gracefield QC area to Lake Victoria Lodge. The fishing was good and we always had a great time. It was very peaceful and not very built up. I believe the lodge closed and I can't find anything about that lodge or lake at all.
Now my buddy and I would like to take our sons on a similar trip. I am looking for a fishing lodge in the SE ON or SW QC area where we can fish for bass and pike. So far I have been looking at a few places in the Gracefield area as well as the Rideau area. Location matters less than good fishing for the boys. I prefer an american plan but that isn't a show stopper. I have a boat but we may need another one as well.
If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it!!!
Steve
Hi, Steve I know it's been 14 years since you posted that but I have contact with the owner so if you read this please Email me: isaiah.p7210@gmail.com.
My parents took me to Lake Victoria as well multiple summers when I was 10 or so, I loved that place. I was a similar age to Eric’s younger children if I remember correctly (long time ago) and can remember hanging out with them fishing from shore a few times along with some other guests kids my age. Sad to hear that he had a tragic accident on the lake. I hope his family remains well.
He was an amazingly friendly proprietor and I’ll remember those trips for the rest of my days. Too bad that it’s gone private, I would like to see the lodge again after all of these years.
