Shore fishing in the Toronto Area

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Shore fishing in the Toronto Area

Post by Jeebus »

I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on good shore fishing spots. I have fished a few with little success. I was at ashbridges bay today and was fishing just from the public launch and caught a 3lb large mouth and something bigger hit my lure but I missed it. Is there a better area as I think there are other spots but we didn't want to walk in circles. Mostly looking for bass panfish or pike but hey without a boat i'm not gonna be fussy. Has anyone fished Ashbridges, bluffers park, Grenadier pond, the toronto islands etc with any luck, if so could you offer some details, it would be greatly appreciated.

Jeebus, try the pier areas in the GTA the Bluffs is a good spot to start.Toss out little cleos 3/4 ounce for this time of year the salmon are pushing upstream.Alot of fish will still be staging and the mouth areas are now or soon to be real hot for tossing spoons and spinners for the incoming fish. When you get to a mouth or pier area just watch and ask the locals if they are hookin up and what coulor is hot and when you get one hang on!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps, T.L F.F
