I went fishing three times on this long weekend, to Petrie island, Arnprior,
and Morrison Island. I was a little bit disappointment that wondering where the fish had gone.
The strange thing happened when I first cast at the right side of the bridge in Petrie island. I felt something stroke at the lure, so I set the hook, I believed there was something under the water because it was quite heavy and moving. Shortly the line was broken (it was 12 lb test line!) and I saw its belly apperaed on the surface and then disappeared. I am still wondering what it was.
Is it near the end of fishing season this year?

fall fishing
I had a great year ... could have been the new boat that helped put a few more fish in the boat... but that could just be experience too.
There is still a lot of fishing to do before the ice is here and then we just change strategies and wait for ice out.
You probably had a muskie bite you off. There are a couple that live up there around the pipes at Petrie.
