there be chrome in them creeks!!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

there be chrome in them creeks!!!

Finally, some decent bows. I made my way down to a local trib and visited a couple pools that I had scouted out earlier this spring. From my high postion I could see a few dark fish moving about...couldn't tell if they were salmon or carp. The pool was big and deep, but the entrance and exit to it was very shallow. I knew these fish weren't going anywhere, so I made a combat stealth approach that would have impressed the heck out of Floatfishin.

Now that I'm close - their small salmon...pinks I think. First cast I drifted a piece of roe right past the lead fish in the pool and out of the darkness of the pool comes a flash of siver and wham!! Fish on!

I visited 3 pools and pulled 4 nice bows out. I also lost a bow and a salmon. I was able to get 2 fish to hook up in each pool and went 4 for 6.

The bows were extremely aggresive. One came over the top of a salmon to smash the roe bag. In another pool, the fish were chasing each other. I'd see a bow chasing a salmon, then a salmon chasing a bow! These fish are begging for rain to get them moving. I'm guessing the rain this weekend will bring up a really nice run from the lake.

That does look pretty Marcus, Both the fish and the stream. Did you take that shot by yourself on auto?
