Desoronto....Or????

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Desoronto....Or????

Post by brixstoneiceman »

I have read of so many places Quinte area fishers prefer, these spots are unknown to us NEWBIES...just like any other lake a newcommer chooses. There are lakes I really know well but Quinte is new as are we to its waters. I purchased a Quinte area water map last time we came showwing what fish , where and how deep.......even what time of year. Most all of us know you have to fish the region yourself a few times to find out--------How many of ya 'all have this sort of time and patience,,We want fish on are not afraid to work for it...Just-Fish-on !.........any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well brix, a quick few reads of our Quinte posts will show you exactly where to go, what to catch them with, and how to catch them.

That is to say, Adolphus Reach, is pretty hot right now, using Mann's stretch 20's as well as others mentioned, J-13's, Rebel Fastracks etc!
The use of planer boards, either on a mast to stack lines or using in-line planer boards.

Another spot is Picton Bay itself. Has a great ramp too! Cheap hotels nearby and for the coffee drinkers in the crowd, a nearby Tim Horton's :!:

Just read a bit and you should absorb alot of useful info.

Any more questions go ahead and ask!

You're best off to keep driving through Deseronto another 15 - 20 minutes to Picton and launch there. That'll put you right in the thick of the hot double digit 'eye action. The big girls probably haven't made their way in from Lake Ontario to as far as Deseronto yet. Deseronto is a really hot spot for ice fishing though. Check out the Great Lakes section as well as the posts in this section.

cheers
