Deep cycle batteries
Interstate are a decent mid grade battery to use on a deep cycle application in that they do offer a decent range of sizes in amp/hour ratings. I think they offer 24 , 27 , 29 and 31's. All these batteries vary a little bit in size , so you will have to be carefull on how much space you have in your boat to store them . What is important is how well you maintain your batteries cable and terminal connections. The best battery I know of is called Surrette , however , they are expensive . You have to consider the value and usage that you get out of your batteries. Another thing to consider is the gel cell battery which has the electrolites suspended in the acid. The advantage is that recharge times are faster which enables you to maybe keep a higher level of charge in your batteries. It is important not to consistently drain your batteries to a low state of charge as it will shorten the life span.
