Little lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Little lake

Post by French River Hitter »

Has anyone had the opportunty to fish this lake? It is just off the 400 east of honey harbor. Fainces dad wants to buy us a cottage for a wedding present but I need to ensure I promote one with excellent fishing. If the lake is dead I need to let him that the cottage is falling apart or the neighbors are farming drugs. I am sure you get my drift! any info would be great!

:) FRH, is that the Little lake near Barrie?

If so, yes it's loaded with fish. Particularly LM Bass. I used to rent a pontoon boat to fish it, it has some phenominal weedlines.

Plus in any case, you're so close to Simcoe and Couchiching. Sounds like a win-win to me. :D

Cottage gift

Post by Jigs »

The father of one of my girlfriends (from my misspent youth) wanted to give me a cow, mule, couple of ducks, and 20 acres of good bottom land if I would marry his daughter.

I wanted him to throw in a plow with the mule but he said no deal, so I begged off.

He then offered me a shotgun so I buggered off.

Too bad: the cow was kinda cute.

Even if it's a dump.................on water...........it's a good thing.

Could I interest you in a bridge??

8)

I am hesitant on that last one...if there is no fish in the lake I would try to find a differant cottage. Gift or no gift a lake without any fish is just a pond!

Cheers,

Scott

PS: Gotta have pickeral in it or I'd never be happy...

The old man wants to be able to come up and learn how to fish - I cant teach him on perch and rock bass! I am not choosing my begs - but if I can I will! If everything works out - it sounds like a fish-hawk bass tourney followed by a big BBQ at my new place!

I dont think he is referring to little lake in Barrie. He is referring to little lake off of Georgian bay. If I am not mistaken It is connected to the Gloucester pool. I just don't know if their is access to georgian bay, If so. I would definately take it. From what I hear Gloucester pool is loaded with fish and under fished.

It is the one north of barrie - but one lock away from Geargion bay - near Honey Harbour I think.
