Ever heard of shina?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I think it's a Korean company.

With reels you usually get what you pay for.

Good luck.

On a related topic- I checked out some top-end Okuma reels at the Fishing Show. You could hear grinding noises when you turned the handles.

CCB,you right about the Okumas.they claim to have 8 or 10 bearings and probably have them too.but the number of bearings in a reel has nothing to do with the quality of that reel.a good quality reel even with 3 or 4 bearings will stay smooth and last a lifetime.

Seabass, never heard of that brand of reel.

It would be interesting to hear what you think of its performance after you put it through the paces...

Good luck.
