JP, wouldn't it make sense to get on board with Winterlude next year and add it to their growing list of Winterlude activities.... that'll bring people down and more money to your charity... I've long wondered why nobody who's trying to raise funds has an event that coincides with Winterlude.
Furthermore, you're right about not being able to please everybody all the time with planning such an event. I'd not even bother having this thread on a public board at this time, an easy to lose track of your goal at this point.
i dont eat much fish, and i ALWAYS(unless injured to the point of no return) throw my fish back... i do occasionally keep a small walleye or 2 but thats about it.... so im not too bummed out...
for the deferent category pike/perch/bluiegil/crappy
I would put the ''time the fish was caught.
that way if there multiple fish caught at the same weight or lenght..the first regsterd is the winner.(this is how alexandria derby goes by) great way.
becaue in crappy you can get a cople time the same weight and lenght.and actualy for all species.
so lenght or weight or both and the time caught..
and like wallyboss said............something to measure the crappy and bit more prescice...
and for myself dont like the weight kind off derby.i ammore a lenght kind...because seen to many weight been cheating by puting water wit sering in them to gain a cople oz.jeeeeee
i would go wit lengh only.my 2 cents. and time caught
"Time Caught" is not a very stable criteria, it could be easily manipulated. How about "Time Weighed In", all you need is another line on your weigh-in slip/chit for the time to be filled in by the weighmaster.
Just a thought..
