Catching up with last summer

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

This is just great, you get a SHIMANO hat in the mail, catch a bunch of big fish the same day----now my secret is out!!!
Big Jim: Now this is a hat secret! Life has been good to me so far this season!
Do you ever get skunked
FloatFishin: I get skunked a lot! In fact, this season, I've been skunked 20% of the time (mainly while fishing for musky or from Fish-Hawk's boat).
How much do you charge for guding.....seriously
Hey Mike: I am not a guide. This is only my 3rd season trying to catch some musky. I've been living in the Ottawa area for two seasons now. I discovered gar pike last spring and this is my very first year targeting small mouth and large mouth bass!... I just love the outdoor and spend a lot of time on the water. I learned a lot reading Fish-Hawk.net posts.
I was supposed to get one of those too
Moosebunk: It is unfortunate you did not get this hat before the beginning of your trip. You caught many great fish during the open season of this contest. You are one of the best story teller on the site and you deserve to have the same chances than any other finalist! Why don't you paste the Shimano logo on five of your best pics? I am sure Shimano and Fish-Hawk staff will understand! Otherwise, good luck to you and Snoop Dogg

Took the words out of my mouth bud. And, I read you catch sturgeon too. Now that's a Shimano pic bud. One more day, get at it.

I read you catch sturgeon too
Moosebunk: Oh yeah, lake sturgeons form the mighty North Saskatchewan River and, more recently, from the Montreal area (see pics). But lake sturgeon can not be compared with the big whites you were catching in the Fraser. However, that's old stories from a few years back!

Sturgeon is still one of my very favorite fish to catch. Too bad the Ottawa river population does not grow as big as the one in Montreal!

Lucky, you just took my envy to a new level. Old or new those are some magnificent lake sturgeon, a rarity for most, and a definite prize of a memory I bet.
