whats your favorite way off fishing.....

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Float-tubing with a fly rod. Wading with a fly rod. Canoeing with a fly rod. Like it says below, "Time's fun when you're having flies."

Largemouth: Flippin canals or twitching flukes over lilipads

Smallies: torpedos next to rocks or running spinnerbait next to a drop off.

No doubt about it , it's gotta be pounding the river banks with my lab Lady in search of steelies. Floating , bottom bouncing with a slinky, whatever it takes. " There's another one Lady, big fish, really big fish, well it was a big fish". Not to-day though, the river is blown. :x

Sitting in the bow seat of my boat and throwing out spinnerbaits.

2006 I am going to use more topwater lures, big topwater lures and alternate back to spinnerbiats if the bite is slow.

But my favorite wat to fish.... tkae my son out in the boat and throw either dead minnows or pieces of stinky sardines off hte side of the boat and haul in the fighting cats, that's my favorite way to fish and can't wait until my youngest can join us too.

Its got to be jigging through a hole in the ice . You never know what may pop its head up out of the hole on multi -species lakes .

There's nothing I like better than floating a small river in a canoe or kayak, stopping to wade along the way. Up north, it's the best way to get to those eager brookies. And around home, there are good smallies in just about every stream. Nice way to spend a day.
Of course, if I had the bucks for a big ol' bass boat, I might be just as happy sittin' on my fat butt, sippin' a cold beer, and flippin' docks for them hawgs. Oh son...

I don't mind sharing at all

Early season I tend to troll River Rat spinner baits , mixing up presentation. Usually a fast troll 4-6 mph. Just under the surface . If I am not having any luck with that I'll throw out a shallow diving crank (Shallow raider or a jake) Not to big though 5-8" in lenght.
Mid summer I'll slow down a little and throw out a little bigger bait and still troll 4-12' depth , and always mix it up with a spinnerbait (big bucktail)
. early and late fall I switch over to big cranks (Believers , Grandmas etc.)
and slow the troll down to 2-3.5mph ,and in about 12-30'. And if nothing is biting I'll try spinnerbaits again. at at about 40*c water temp I usually start thinking about putting the boat away.Colors and location ---well ---you would have to be on my boat to see those

Cheers
