
only thing i do, when using braid on the rigger, is run a flouro lead about the length of the rod....sometimes 8' or so....
tie it with a surgeons knot, and i promise you, your knot wont break...and you'll be able to reel it past the guides, basically allowing you to land your fish stress free.....
if you use a ball barring swivel, then you'll be forced to land the fish with the 8' lead still out (not being able to reel past the first eye of the rod)
as i said above, the main reason i use braid on my riggers is for the diameter...8lbs really fills a reel, and it gives you the strength of 30lbs....
btw, i always use 40lbs flouro leads salmon fishing, especially this year, with all the super tankers out there.
