keeping senkos on hook???

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I usually put on 2 o-rings and then I cross them and that is where i put my hook. So instead of the hook coming out on top of the senko it comes out perpendicular to it. Seems like I get a better hook up ratio. By the way those are not the hooks I use. I use either Gamakatsu Finesse wide gap or Owner mosquito hook both in 1/0 or 2/0

Here is a picture of a senko type plastic with 1 o-ring

Here is the way I usually set mine up so that the hook comes out on the side. Seem to get better hook up ratio

And that little tool is the best thing to put o-rings on without damaging the bait.

What kind of tool is that? Is it specifically for that purpose? I have been using thes hook that the tip of the barb turns inwards, thus preventing the worm from falling off. Not sure what they are called though. My neighbor uses the surgical tubing also.
