Lunch-time Bass in Ottawa

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

2 rods

Post by CCLad »

The cut off for the "two rods per angler" on Lake On is the Glenora ferry. You can fish with 2 rods per angler any where east and onto Lake On. They changed this as a great deal of the fishing on Lake On is done with riggers and the ave fish per hour is roughly 1 for every 4 fished.

I have gone out by my self on the odd occasion salmon fishing and ran two rods.....Let me tell you, it's no easy task fighting a 25lbs Chinook, while trying to release and clear another rod, all the while trying to keep the boat on a good heading. after landing the fish...I opted to run only 1 rod

From the MNR Regulations wrote:Sunfish – For the purpose of this summary, sunfish includes

sunfish, longear sunfish and Lepomis hybrids.
Even though there is no limit on sunfish in Zone 18, the MNR clearly dropped the ball on this one, as rock bass are not explicitly included under the sunfish grouping.

I guess you could say it's half in the states.

It's a border river.... half Ontario, half Michigan.

Thanks Brad.
So is it the river between Lake Erie and Lake St.clair or between St.Clair and Lake Huron?
I had checked on Google maps and couldn't find the Detroit river.
