i would go with the canoe personally and maybe get a small electric motor for trolling :D

I'd recommend a visit to Float, Paddle, and Fly here in Bell's Corners. They have some great Kayaks and Float Boats that may be of some interest. Many of them are specifically designed for fishing and I'm sure Greg would be more than happy to give you the low down to help you make your decision.
