FIANLLY THE DAY WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ON QUINTE!!!!!!!!1
What an amazing trip, Don captured all the great moments, thanks buddy, it was certainly a trip to remember.
I hit a new PB with a double digit eye at last.
Sat was to be my last weekend and I actually cancelled my trip but a spot on Sheldons boat was too good to turn down.
As well as the best day I've ever had at Quinte, it was like a day at school too. Learning about electronics and what they can do for you, setting up an eight line spread, and eye after eye with double headers thrown in, I'm still thinking about it.
All I had left to show was a couple of interesting pics on how the 8 line spread was done. poetry in motion...........

I was amazed at how easy it was to land a fish on one of the centre boards and then return the board to its same configuration.
Plus we used two slide divers http://www.slidediver.com/ talk to Sheldon if you want more info on these guys.
Well my boat is going away this week, so unless something exceptional happens to the weather and I get another invite to the Bay, I'm done for the year.
Looking forward to seeing a bunch of the regular ORWL guys over the winter, I know Sheldon has a few ideas for some really interesting meetings.

Steve,
I run cranks and spoons anywhere from 20 feet to 65 feet behind the slide-diver with my outside on a 5 setting and straight out the back on a 1 setting. The slide-diver lite bite is amazing as they trip when the fish strikes and the light release helps prevent the hooks from tearing a huge whole in the walleyes mouth - also no need for snubber. You can also get weight kits to adjust the depth they will dive, or as I like to use the heavier weights on my back rods so the side slide-divers fall/sink slower on the tight turns to prevent tangles.

Nice report
Sure is nice to see those big hogs. My annual trip only resulted in a 5 and 7 lber this year.
that lite bite slider looks like another tool to add to my arsenal for suspended walleye and trout on the inland lakes here.
What kind of rod do you use for these divers and do you need to run braid or will mono do? When I am trolling with braid I end up losing more fish.
Keep up the reports.
Awesome.

DH,
I use the Gloomis WTR 941 as I only troll for walleye when running the slide diver so no need for a big heavy duty rod as I never go over 2mph, also the extra soft tip of the 941 prevents you from loosing fish as it has a great shock absorber quality. Reels with really good drag make a huge difference in the number of lost fish when running divers with no stretch super lines as a good drag will allow the fish to run or pull drag when needed.
