BIG Ottawa River EYE!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

That is a real ice eye lad, is the river frozen all over down that way, buddy of mine lives outside of Dunrobin and we fish there just down from constance bay if I'm not mistaken. That's the west Carleton area isin't it?

length x length x length divided by 2700 = weight in pounds. This is the formula for figuring out the weight of a waleye. It's different for other species. Very nice Fish!!!! :D

The river is frozen pretty well around west carleton (I still won't call it Ottawa), but you obviously gotta be careful because of the current in area. I actually fishing in an area with good current, which is where i was geting em in the summer. I was using the Lindy Rattlin Flyer jigging spoon tipped with a minnow head.

Picked up a few of those spoons last year and have not gave them a go yet. A few dudes I fish with swear by them.
