Wawa derby, trophy specs and monster pike.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Thanks for all the great replies. Although I did not get the big gator I was looking for, catching thoughs lakers sure did make up for it. As for the one that got away it still eats me but at least I know its there  Just hope it was able to spit that hook :?

Thanks DropShot'r actually was a good temp in there with the mr heater, 2 sleeping bags and the window cracked open a bit next to my face.

Was out on Manatowik. Man that lake is huge and scary with the ice hanging on all the humps and shore lines from when they drop the water level. Hard to find stucture on a big lake like that holding fish compared to the smaller lakes I fish around here. Might try Wawa next year, its still big and I think most of the whites come out of there.

I think Moosebunk has become a lurker :o .....
But most likely out there hand lining a 50incher. 8)

About the Jiffy.... What happens in Wawa, stays in Wawa!

That looks like an awesome trip. Congrats on the nice laker!!
Superb job on the report - the big one that got off, I bet that memory is going to stay in your mind for quite some time. I've lost a couple dandy's and they keep gnawing at me - what could I have done differently etc - sure is motivating!!

Hope you win the sled next winter. :D
