note to self, pack your own car yourself, and unpack the car yourself.

I was out below the Fitzroy dam on the Ottawa fishing with my cousin and another guy for walleye. Got a bite, set the hook, small fish. Then rod is almost ripped out of my hands. I am thinking, "a musky must have grabbed the small fish". (happens all the time, right!)
So after a fairly long battle, a few runs around the boat and my fishing partners comments on my fish fighting ability the pressure on the rod releases. A 10 inch walleye flies up into the air. It is bug eyed and has bite marks all over it, but as the other fish was never seen you can imagine the ribbing I took and continue to take 8 years later on being handcuffed by a 10 inch walleye.
This is one of many of the "one that got away" stories I am sure we all have.

Here is one.

Leave my house early to head over to meet up and go fishing.
We're fishing musky.

I brought my rods, net etc but forgot my tackle boxes.
So we had 3 lures to use!

We're out fishing, I had cast the only in-line spinner in the boat. I'm getting no action!

I decided to take a break and I drop the spinner to the bottom (about 13 fow).....

I jig once, twice.....snag!

Wait a sec! snags don't pull and head shake! I real up! 39" musky on the line!

Probably the most BS way to catch one, but still hillarious!

there's this one point in rockland i fish, and i did the same thing, casted out in 20 feet of water, let the spinner bait drop to the bottom and reeled in slowly, got small 8 pound musky after two cranks of the reel.

my brother in law and I are trolling for walleye, he gets a snag and breaks off before I got the boat turned around. Hes dissapointed to loose his crank bait, but we keep fishing....hours go by, we catch some fish, then he says hey whats that behind the boat...i look back and see something flapping in the water about 25 feet behind us, so out of curiousity i put it in reverse to check it out, and it dissapears.. put it back in drive and there it is again, reverse gone, drive its back....so we figured out we must be dragging something, I lift the motor and sure enough theres some line in the prop....that line looks failair I think, and start to hand bomb it in only to find a nice little crappie on the crank bait my brohter in law lost earliar that evening! so i guess as we kept trolling over the same area, the line ended up in the prop, pulled the lour off the log it was stuck on, and somehow managed to drag behind us without getting pulled up into the prop.....so i guess we were fishing illegally and didnt even know it because we were trolling three lines..and the crappie hit the crank bait behind the boat...pretty funny , and a first for me!

Well, my Dad and I head to the launch ramp on a busy weekend morning.

He has a bass boat with a drive on trailer so we prep and he backs me down the ramp and I fire up the engine and hit reverse.

But the boat is not coming off the trailer.
So he yells come on give it some gas(just thinking maybe the bunks are a little sticky).

So now I'm on the gas and water is blowing up over the transom, the trailer shaking, the tow vehicle is moving, a crowd is gathering and Still Nothing.

OOP's forgot to take off the tie-downs
