I like Spro frogs, Bobby's Perfect, Zoom Horney Toads and Rage Tails. I toss 'em on a 7'6" Fenwick HMG flippin stick and 50lb Sonic Braid. Stren Braids are the best on the market bar none.

I did use a 6'10" rod last year, but the big sweep of a longer rod gives me better hook-ups on long casts.

Over the years ,one bait that'a always done the trick in slop is the MOSS BOSS spoon ,frog pattern ....I have caught hundreds of bass,pike and musky ,usually once the lure hits the openings. I fish it slow ,skimming the surface with the odd skip and the odd flutter in the pockets....i use a 6'6'' to 7' rod with 14-20 lb mono and ABU 4600 reel....try it it works!!
