Is there a public launch on Henney?
Craig
Craig,
The only launch on the lake is the one at Whitefish Lodge. Charlie charges $5 I believe to launch and park. Takes a while to figure the lake out but once you do you will be there a lot.
Ian
Five bucks is more than reasonable for a lodge to charge.
Thanks Ian... hope you figure out the multiple posting problem! Common problem on this board. Like learning to make a straight shot on an old, poorly maintained and wobbly pool table left in a damp basement.

By life is like a wobbly pool table.
I'll be up at the lodge the week of Aug 16. If you are around, look for the black Lund 1725 Rebel and say hello.

I wanted to reach out and let you know that although Whitefish Lodge in Gracefield, Quebec is no longer in operation, we still have cottages available for rent in the same beautiful area. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway or a spot to enjoy fishing and great outdoors, our cottages are available for your stay. The same lakes, Heney Lake, 31 Mile lake, Pemichangan Lake, Cayamant Lake and others are still teeming with fish. Not to mention their natural beauty. The Gracefield region has a rich history of attracting fishermen, to its many lodges. Whitefish Lodge that was run by Charles Varin, Victoria Lodge, McKeebe Lodge, Chalets Jean Paul, and Northfield Lodge where once bustline sports where anglers from the U.S. and Europe would come to enjoy the pristine waters and abundant fishing.
Though these lodges are no longer in operation, the incredible fishing that made the region famous remains just good - if not better! With fewer tourists frequenting the area, the lakes are teeming with fish, offering an even more rewarding experience for those who come to cast their lines.
Wow, talk about resurrecting an old thread lol. Speaking of it's history I'm surprised you didn't mention probably the oldest club of them all, The Gatineau Fish and Game Club which was originally formed in 1894 on the shores of Lac Pemichangan. There were some pretty famous people in it's membership over the years I forget when it finally closed up, I think it was late 90's.Our family cottage is on Pemich, definitely my favorite lake in the region.
Here's a good story on the history of the club when it was 100 years old, along with many links to other stories on the history of the Gatineau Valley. https://www.gvhs.ca/publications/utga-a-century.html
