I thought the figure 8 thing was bogus until one time fishing in the gouin Resevoir I had a pike follow my line in ... not a huge one .. perhaps 6 - 8 lbs ... and so I decided to try it ... he grabbed the lure but stupid me I just reeled him in right away and he came into the boat like a lion ... still lots of fight left in him ... my dog got so rattled he jumped out and swam to shore !! I guess i should have played him a little before netting him but was just so excited to catch a fish I didn't.

I hope you get the next one nips ... good thing is he's not getting any smaller ...
