Nice catch Louis. Either way you will have something nice to show and look at for many years.Had one the same size a few years back and had it mounted by Leslie Levair in Round lake. It still looks like the day I picked it up....... :D

I think Replica is the only way to go...They look better and last longer...I used Advanced Taxidermy out of the Toronto area for my 7.1 lb Largemouth and I think they did a PERFECT job...

Iggles, a very nice job done on restoring your bass mount; it looks great.

And Legend Killer, I hope you have that super mount in a more respectable place now than your garage.

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

Gary Lowrey gets my vote. I have only had work done by him, so I have nothing to compare it to., but the quality of the mount was impeccable.

Beauty bass!

I don't know if he does fish, but the fellow who did my deer head and shoulder mount this past year did an awesome job. Roger Reynolds, R&S Taxidermy, (613) 354-9299.

Trophies belong on a wall, and killing the odd fish to stuff or to eat is no sin.

Well, I dropped my trophy off at Lowery Taxidermy this afternoon. We will see the outcome in a few months.

Thanks for all your great advice, as usual.

Louis.

Yes, of course. It was just in the garage when I built the base, habitat and mounted the replica on the driftwood... It is now in the house.
