I'm in Toronto this week and toured around a local, very large outdoors shop last night. I was impressed with the Clam Scout TC -- reasonable weight (<50lbs) on a sled -- opens and closes easily, can pickup and leave pretty fast. If i had the cash and the room to drive this thing around, that would be what I'd go for.. The pop-up style shelters are bigger thats for sure, but they need to be carried as far as I can tell, and I'm not sure about packing something like that up in the wind and cold. Flip-style for me 100%.

I've fished out of a nanook and it was pretty slick, but like Steve said you'll probably never get 4 holes in it. We usually have a hole each outside the clam and a hole each in the clam. I am also in the market to get my own, and i am only looking at the fold up style. I want to be able to move at the drop of a hat....and with the clam you pretty much can move really easy.

Let us know what you decide
