Shirleys bay report Jan 6th

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Thanks for the update. My buddies and I should be bringing out our shack (aka trailer) on Sunday.

Where do you have your shack set up?
As you come down the ramp onto the river you see a cell tower slightly to your right on the Aylmer side. Head in that direction for about 300 yards. You'll see a green shack and another shack with a rounded top out there.

Don't know how much longer we'll be at that spot though since we're talking about moving again further out towards the channel. Could happen as soon as this weekend. We'll keep ya posted.

Cool technique you use there for the holes! But does it give you a hard time to re -dril with the auger ones they freeze up ?

The gas auger cuts through it easily. Just be sure to keep the auger at a 90 degree angle when punching through.
