What is the all around best kind of line to use on a reel?
Don't throw it away, take it back to the shop, get the staff test the line, you might be able to get your money back or at least get a new spool. That's what I did on PowerPro 30lb test, it breaks at about 5lb!!!Rex Mundi wrote:I put power pro on am totally peed off.
I have taken what is left of my power pro and taken it off the reel and thrown it in the garbage as I can not afford to us it anymore.
Another thing on this line, yea it doesn't have memory, so tangles less, yet when it does, it's a lot worse than mono.

I just had the same experience today. Brought home the Fireline, spooled it up and immediatly hated the stuff, snapped really easily and then rats nestted on me.Rescue78 wrote: I tried Fireline this year. I used it once and stripped it off my reel. I probably should have given it more time, but I could't stand it.
It felt brittle and dry and very rough, not smooth at all. I packed it into an envelope, attached my receipt and promptly sent it to Berkley asking for a refund. Prior to that I have almost always used Trilene. I think it might be time to try Spiderwire because Bekley left a bad taste in my mouth.
Any comments on spider wire?
