What happened to ALL THE FISH??

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Another great day flyfishing the back channel at Long Island. Best fish was a 17" ~4lb smallmouth....a beauty!

Sure thing, though you gotta wade to get to the sweet spots. I actually find it easier to park at the end of Lockview and walk down to the west bank through the park rather then pay and walk all the way around from the Locks. I've also noticed that the rocks on the west side are pretty clean of the algae growth that makes the east side dangerous as hell.

Just give me a shout sometime.

So fishing was GREAT TONIGHT!
Sorry Todd for not showing up at the locks, I went to the Mill to try it out early in the evening, and I watched a guy pull out a 18" Largemouth so I thought I would stick around for a while. I also tried to get the guy to release the fish but he was convinced on keepin it!
Anyways....I managed to catch 3 Walleye! Nice sizes for shore fishing...15",16" and a 17"!!!! I was happy with that for sure!
The fishing GODS ARE WITH ME AGAIN!!!
Cheers'

AA,

Let me guess, he was going to eat it? At least mine is still swimming around to hopefully spawn again next year and given that few people will make the effort to wade into the deeper water, hopefully it will.

AA,

I'm going to hit the water for a couple hours again this evening if you're interested in joining. Same spot.

To answer the question..YES the friggen guy was going to eat it! I tried to tell him that the fish full of worms and stuff...He was an idiot to say the least. Anyways..

AA,

I like to park at the end of Lockview. From there it's just a 30 yard walk into the park to get to the river.
