"A Fifty Gar Salute!!!"

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bunk man ...... A loss for words. Your gar reports are a highlight of the year on this forum ... Each time you seem to recreate yourself as a photographer keeping some of the classic amazing shots of the giants but also blowing our minds with something new... Can't get over a few of those images Bunk. Once again thank you for taking the time to take us on this incredible adventure with you. Another report that will not soon be forgotten!!!

Much respect and admiration!

So SERIOUSLY, there has to be one of those HOGS better than 20.1 pounds, I am guessing you did not want to kill one to claim the record? If that is the case, good on you!

A great season came together quite nicely in this report. Knew you'd appreciate the photos. Thanks boys.

So, when ya moving to Golden Lake then Jimmy. Some Bands require that to qualify for certain perks that come with Status, that a certain amount of life be lived on Reserve. Regardless though, the card has it's advantages and can't hurt man.
Doug wrote:Obviously the Muse came back, and in a big way. And I enjoyed the report all the more for the back story.
Did so. That other day we mailed I couldn't get a flow going at all. Woke Thursday morning spry enough to not even need a quick java and it just started going.
Doug wrote:So I am thinking a 53" or 54" gar could probably weigh more than 20.1 pounds? Did you WEIGH any of those critters?
They could.... and I did. :)

We cast at dawn on the front line
Like a bolt right out of the blue
The sky's alight with the gar bite
Heads will roll and rock tonight ...

For that awesome report...
We salute you!

Epic, Bunk. All the way.

Wouldn't it just maybe be worth it to actually give up your first born for gar??? Ya know, crying, poopy baby, terrible 2's, few good years of love and respect but then teenage angst and attitude, always in your wallet.  j/k... Reminds me of Rumplestiltskin spinning hay into gar.

Thanks.
Well since you pout it that way hhhmmmmm sounds almost tempting but she just turned 3 and just got her a fishing rod so I am going to have to keep her  I missed a few near deep river in lake de la tortue as I could get the hook set in but it was a blast trying!!!

Fantastic report and pics as always. I really liked the idea that you had of only including yourself with 50'' + gars. Quite the challenge and you certainly rose to the occasion!!!

Nah dude....

Golden Lake is too far....
Besides most of her relatives (Algonquin) are up around Ompah area....

We did manage to put fishing on hold last weekend and go spelunking....that was cool.
