Lake trout frustrations

Nice meeting you the other day Steve.

I'm gonna go with Randy L here. I did three rigging trips out there this summer. One for fun and 2 half days guiding folks. Every trip netted at least 8 Lakers on the troll.

I don't run Christmas trees ever. :lol: I'll never understand why a fish is even attracted to those monstrosities.. :lol:

The fish you are targetting out there are feeding heavily on shad which top out size wise by years end around 3.5 inches. Matching the hatch you could say. I use smaller spoons all the time. I generally run 40-50 off the ball. I troll 1.8 to 2.0 mph.

thanks for all the help there guys!
i'm gonna take all the advise i can get and make the best of it. I'm going to change up a few things and make a good effort to get out there saturday and sunday come hell or high water.
hoping i can post a great report when i'm done!
