Urban Outdoor Adventures!!!!!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I honestly would feel a little apprehensive about sharing my seclusive, secret, small, smallmouth hole, but, that's because it's obviously precious to me and I view it as easily being harmed by even the slightest overfishing. But, that's that hole. And so I can see why some fisherman may develop guarded attitudes in regards to some of their own fishing locales.

Most of the places all of us fish though are not secrets. Somebody else knows, so why not share and share alike, especially if you get the joy out of showing and fishing those areas with that other person.

Oh so it was Probassin who started the Planer board craze.....I thought it was Captain Hank....

I 100% agree with Big-O.....the sharing of tips and tactics is what sets this site apart from all others.....ya can't even get ice conditions out of people on the Quinte Board.... ....never mind how the fishing has been....

Of course we all have some areas we fish that are sensitive to us....and alot of them don't get shared....but just because you are given an area to fish doesn't mean you will be on fish.....

We all have places that we would never give up...I have few Crappie holes that I go to in the spring...they are knowen only to a select few...and they will remain a secret...right JOHN....RJ  and I think every one has a few places that are a gaurded secret, and no one is asking you to share them...unless you want to (you can pm them to me  )...but you could share the patterns that work for you in your secret spot....it might help some one find their own spot.

i have no problems sharing where i caught a fish or even what i used to catch it. just because someone shares info on where they caught what and what they caught it on doesnt mean that you will get the same results. believe me i know. i tried perch fishing on lake simcoe through out the fall and do you think i could catch one, heck no (ok, you can laugh) but i still didnt give up and still hope to catch a few from the lake if it lets me. havent fished walleye in over 15yrs and hope to get into a few and if i do id still share where and what i used unless someone takes me out and asks that i dont share to much, i can respect that and will respect that. ive learned alot from this board and have landed my first rainbow because of the info from here but the spot was kind of known in general and caught it on something that not everyone uses. what little info that i know, i'll share. its a great feeling catching your first.

I have met a lot of great people through the board, they have shared with me both through posting and hands on, what they know and use. I take that information and try to apply it to the areas I normally fish for the type of fishing I normally do. Eg this year i will be using flouro carbon leaders when down rigging, I'll be using planer boards, I might even break down and buy a modern spinning or baitcasting reel, but I'll be fishing Georgian Bay 90 percent of the time because that's where I feel comfortable when I fish.
