Death Trap. Have you ever seen the crash tests for this vehicle. Not good...

It would make a nice anchor for your boat though

If everything goes as planned Ill be picking up a brand new Nissan Frontier end of next week. Its got over 10" of ground clearance even on the base 2wd and with the v6 option it will tow 6500lbs. A base Frontier comes factory with A/C, keyless entry, variable wipers, cruise control, rear disc brakes, tire pressure monitering(dont need it but its neat) and it will still run you LESS than a Toyota Tacoma that comes without anything base.
Sorry first truck was a Toyota drove to over 324 000km and it still would not die, great little truck but Nissans are good vehicles and with the extra coin I could throw a new 4wheeler in the back.
Oh yeah good on gas too and they offer 4cyl.

Gees Nissan better give a good deal on my truck after that write up.

Fantasy Tow Vehicle,

Optimus Prime.  He should be able to tow anything and for the small ramps, he can transform and gently place my boat in the water. And if there are any annoying fishermen around...watch out.

Money no object,

Acura MDX

Reality,

Sante Fe probably

All though, Bass Addict, you can tow a small boat with your Sunfire? I should look into if my Grand Am can do the same.

Tow vehicles

Post by Joey Rat »

I have a small boat(Lund 1650 Rebel DC) so a Toyota Tacoma would suit me just fine. Load it up please leather, 4x4, crew cab, nav, high end stereo/dvd, fancy wheels and a full cap. etc. Maybe get a little silly and paint match with the boat.

Oh, and keep the damn kids away from it

However, if we went with the Tundra (all the same toys) and dropped a fully equiped camper on the back I could almost sell the house and spend years touring and fishing. 8) 8) 8)

Hey S.M.05,

I owned a 92 Nissan Sentra and put 225,000kms on it before I sold it for 1700 bucks. The darn thing was bullet proof. I will check out the Nissan site to take a look at the Frontier. It sounds like a great truck with lots of standard features at a fair price. Have fun with it when you get it. Any idea what the 4 cyl. is rated at for towing?

This is my dream and reality truck....I don't need or wish for anything else....I had the same model back in 2000 and traded it in for this one...my Ford has a tow package and does the job on and off the road...believe me, it has seen some rough terrain goin in to some of my back-woods trout lakes.....wouldn't trade it for the world!!!
